About Me
Hi, I’m Dr Chris Alexander. I have been the Head of the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Centre since 2016, and was previously the Head of the Distance Learning IT Unit at the University of Nicosia from 2008-2016. I have been pioneering TEL innovation at UNIC since 2004 with, for instance, the development of the NEPTON Test, the Language Lab, E-learning. I have also led the development of five apps and many other IT projects for the University. I am an Associate Professor in Technology Enhanced Learning/ Applied Linguistics and TESOL in the Department of Languages and Literature. My area of specialisation is mainly focused on TEL and Learning Design. My current research interests include TEL, Learning Design, CALL and Learning Analytics. I have published widely in a range of genres. I am also Co-Editor in Chief of the Journal of Teaching English with Technology [Scopus, Q1].
